During the fires of 2018 we arrived as a veil of smoke enveloped Crater Lake. The swirling smoke blended with the lake to give us a unique and calming shade of blue in the midst of one of nature’s most destructive forces. 

This encaustic is calming and cooling providing a place for our eyes to rest and restore from the busy world. It gently invites us to look further into ourselves to find new perspective in challenging situations.
